Emma had a blast! I have been working with her on saying "trick or treat" or at least "treat please." I am not sure she got it... until tonight that is! We took some pics on the front porch (those probably I will post tomorrow) and she was already trying to ring our doorbell! After parking the car closer to where all the action is, she was already pointing at a house and saying "that!" So we went there and then crossed the street to a friend's house. Then we decided to just go ahead and hit Yellowstone street. Her helmet lasted all of four houses and then she did not want to wear it. Before to long she would point at a house and say something very close to "trick or treat." Came out close to "tic teet." Everyonce in a while we would ask if she wanted to go home or trick or treat. "tic teet!" We finished off Yellowstone and then drove to visit a friend who used to work at where we bank. She had heard of Emma's costume but just left for a new job last week so I told her we would stop by. After that we hit one of the retirement centers where they had all the residents sitting in the common room handing out candy. That was a last minute stop since it was across the street from the hospital (our last stop of the day). We stopped in the hospital to pay a visit to Mary who was the nurse on duty the night Emma was born! She has seen Emma a couple times since then, the last being last Halloween (or a day or so before). She was actually in the middle of a incident in the ER so she could only run out and say hi, but she was really excited to see Emma. If I remember correctly, Emma is actually her first baby when she started working in the hospital so she is always happy to see how she is doing!
Now we are home... only about 12 visitors tonight and hopefully no more. Emma is out cold. She was so tired but so happy. She scored pretty good, filling up her pumpkin pretty full! We will see if she gets that it is only a once a year thing!
